Tsunanobu Kawamoto


Kawamoto graduated Toho Gakuen Univ. He studied conducting under Mr. Kazuyoshi Akiyama, Mr. Tadaaki Odaka, Mr. Shunsaku Tsutsumi and the late Mr. Tadashi Mori, and theory piano under Mr. Akira Miyoshi and Ms. Toshiko Nakanishi.

As soon as graduated univ, he made his debut, after then he joined and had appointed to the regular conductor from 1980 to 1984 with Symphony Orchestra of Hiroshima.

1985, he won the first international conductor contest of "A. Toscanini". Then completed "Specialization Course" and conducted various orchestras in Italy.

1990, he conducted his first opera "Ada" by Minoru Miki. Then he is expected for the conductor for opera. Lately he has produced some opera.

1995, he served a lecturer of conducting in WASBE at Hamamatsu. Also he invited as a lecturer to some class for band director.

1999, he had serially column for conductor for band in the monthly magazine "Band Journal".

Now, he teaches to students at Senzoku College and Nihon Univ, and conducting Tokyo Academic Symphonica and of course Sony Concert Band. Also he teaches in corresponding program at Bunka Broadcasting.

He have been the Musical Director and Conductor of Sony Concert Band since April, 2000. We had invited Kawamoto as a guest conductor at the 22th Concert in1986, Sony Community Concert in March, 1999 and the 35th Concert in Nov, 1999.
