Ark-Karajan Square Opening Ceremony
April 23, 1998
Ark Hills Plaza "Herbert von Karajan Platz in Ark Hills" (Akasaka, Tokyo)

Ark Hills Plaza in Roppongi, Tokyo was named "Herbert von Karajan Platz in Ark Hills (Ark-Karajan Square)". We played marches for its opening ceremony with conducted by Norio Ohga, CEO/Chairman of Sony Corp. made an effort its naming.

Concert Tour in USA / Mexico
April 27, 1998 - May 5, 1998
Tijuana, Mexico / Escondido, CA / San Jose, CA

We visited west coast of North America; California, USA and Tijuana, Mexico as our 40th anniversary event. Not only visiting also had 2 concerts for workers of Sony at Sony Tijuna de Este and Sony Electronics Inc. (San Jose, CA), and 2 Goodwill concerts with Point Loma Clg. Band and San Jose Wind Symphony.

Concert for the 30th Anniversary of Sony Senmaya
September 12, 1998
Gym of Senmaya (Senmaya, Iwate)

We gave a concert for the 30th anniversary of Sony Senmaya Corp. Before the concert, the band clinic was given by Mr. Akiyama as an instructor for student of local high/Jr. high school bands. After the concert, we gave another concert in the festival of Senmaya town.

Concert for the 25th Anniversary of Sony Motomiya

Sunrise Motomiya (Motomiya, Fukushima)

We gave a concert for the 25th anniversary of Sony Motomiya Corp. Before the concert, the band clinic was given by Mr. Akiyama as an instructor for student of local high/Jr. high school bands.

The 34th Concert 40th Anniversary of SCB
November 20, 1998
U-Port Gotanda (Shinagawa, Tokyo)

We had a regular concert for the 40th anniversary of ourselves. For this concert, we played the world premiere composition of A. Reed conducted by himself.
We donated our sales of tickets to Blood Center of Red Cross, South Tokyo.
